We had an unexpected trip up to the mountains, and then an unexpected snowy weekend. This B&B is wonderful and the owners are fascinating. When the local businesses closed due to the snow they went the extra mile and made our large group a wonderful dinner. Very clean, great accommodations, and a perfect location for scooting to different attractions around the area.
We had the best experience when we stayed in their cottages. Very clean, quaint and quiet. Much better than staying in a hotel. The breakfast prepared by Eric was delicious. We will be staying again in a few months.
-succinctly stated, this is a FANTASTIC bed and breakfast ran by an AMAZING couple and we will be back very soon.
Stayed there for a wedding at Grandfather Mountain. The rooms were quaint and lovely. The breakfast was delicious!!! We really enjoyed our time there.
Thanks Norma & Eric! We'll be back (once the snow melts)!
Norma and Eric are lovely Inn keepers. Eric makes and amazing breakfast 5*****! Norma's art is beautiful and she has a tasteful way of decorating each nook and cranny. It's always a pleasant surprise when we visit throughout all the seasons. We love the activities that surround the Inn too. You wont be board if you don't want to be or you can relax and enjoy the peace and quiet of Linville. All these attractions are close, but not too close. Grandfather mountain, Caverns, Hiking, Skiing, Snow tubing at Hawk-nest are just some of the few.
Last weekend was our first stay at a bed and breakfast and we were blown away! This was the best trip to the mountains I've ever had and Erick and Norma went far and above what we expected to make that happen. Erick is a gourmet chef and each morning prepared a fantastic breakfast and the two of them joined me to eat and discuss our trip. They recommended some great spots to visit, a few trails that were just what we were looking for and several places to eat in the area. Norma gave us some locally grown apples and even earned me some "brownie points" by giving me some gourmet chocolate truffles to give my girlfriend. The weekend prior to our trip was when we had originally scheduled it but Norma went out of her way to call me ahead of this trip and advise that we cancel till another time because there were high winds in the area and she was worried we may not be able to fully enjoy our trip. That alone saved our weekend and I couldn't be more thankful. I'm so glad we were able to come the next week because it was a trip we will never forget.
